As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide professional security services across a variety of sites within a designated geographical area as required. The Relief Security Officer will be responsible for protecting customers, employees, property, and assets while ensuring all site-specific assignment instructions and customer requirements are followed. Delivering exceptional customer service is a key part of the Relief Security Officer role, consistently demonstrating Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Carry out regular site patrols and monitor access points.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Safeguard our client's people, property, and assets.
• Manage keys, security equipment, and access control systems.
• Conduct internal and external patrols, remaining vigilant for suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports, logs, and visitor passes.
• Provide a professional, welcoming service to staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Take appropriate action during incidents until emergency services or additional support arrive.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and concerns promptly.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while upholding Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle due to multiple site locations.
• Ability to travel to site within 45 minutes when required.
• Knowledge of access control systems and security procedures.
• Able to travel form Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr.
• Full flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable work history (enhanced screening required).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using basic IT systems and computer applications.
• A reliable team player who can work independently when needed.
• Willingness to cover a variety of locations, including static sites and retail parks.
