About the Role
Join Securitas as a Security Supervisor at Leonardo UK's Southampton facility – a leading aerospace, defence and security technology site.
This is a hands-on leadership role where the Security Supervisor will supervise a team of Security Officers, oversee daily operations, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and professionalism.
As a Security Supervisor, you'll be the key link between the client, the security team, and Securitas management, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Leonardo's Southampton site is a major centre for advanced sensor systems, thermal imaging, air traffic management systems, critical communications, and defence technologies, supporting both military and commercial sectors worldwide.
Note, this role requires you to have the following:
- Valid SIA licence
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in security
- Strong CCTV knowledge
- Flexible to workdays, nights & weekends

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support Security Officers during your shift
- Act as the first point of contact for operational security issues
- Create and manage staff rotas, including holiday and sickness cover
- Conduct staff briefings, coaching and performance discussions
- Oversee incident reporting and site documentation
- Ensure compliance with site procedures and client requirements
- Monitor CCTV, access control and alarm systems
- Coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies
- Report system faults and ensure security equipment remains operational
- Support training and development of team members
- Produce accurate digital reports and records
- Promote high standards, professionalism and team engagement

Qualifications
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Valid SIA licence
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in security
- Strong CCTV knowledge
- Right to work in the UK
- 5-year checkable employment history
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- IT confident (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Flexible to work days, nights & weekends
Desirable:
- First Aid at Work
- Health & Safety qualification
- Customer service training
