The Security Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electronic security systems at customer sites.
This includes hardware, cabling and software components that together deliver Securitas Technology’s security services.

The technician works in close collaboration with Team Leaders, Regional Managers, Planning and Project teams, and plays a critical role as the visible face of Securitas Technology towards the customer.

The role combines technical execution, customer interaction and strict compliance with quality, safety and SLA standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Install and configure security systems such as:

  • CCTV cameras

  • Access control systems

  • Intrusion detection

  • Controllers, routers, switches and cabling

• Test and validate installations to ensure proper operation

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

• Troubleshoot and repair systems in case of incidents

• Complete installation reports and technical documentation

• Register working hours, travel time and activities in company systems

• Respect planning, deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Escalate risks or delays when deadlines or quality are at risk

• Work in accordance with safety, quality and security policies (VCA, MS, Information Security)

• Manage materials and stock consumption correctly

• Technical education:

  • Technical Bachelor OR

  • Technical secondary education with specialization in IT, electronics or security

• Experience level:

  • Junior: < 3 years

  • Medior: 3–7 years

  • Senior: > 7 years

• Mandatory certifications:

  • VCA Basic

  • BA4 / BA5

  • Aerial lift (hoogtewerker) certification

• Strong technical affinity with:

  • Electronic security systems

  • IT & networking

  • Cybersecurity basics

• Knowledge of:

  • Reporting tools

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Languages:

  • Dutch or French as main language

  • The other language is a plus

• Must meet the legal requirements for working in the private security sector (alarms & CCTV)

• Reporting line: Pre-Sales Manager

• Team size: 6–15 Pre-Sales Engineers (Physical Security)

• High-impact role with direct influence on:
