Shape the future of security operations with one of Secuirtas’ largest clients. We’re looking for a Duty Security Manager to lead our Yeovil site team and drive excellence across all aspects of security management.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of scheduling, compliance, recruitment, investigations, performance management, and training—ensuring every process meets the highest standards. Your leadership will create a safe, secure, and high-performing environment where people feel supported and valued.
As our new Duty Security Manager, you’ll combine proactive communication, rigorous compliance, and strategic training to deliver operational success. You’ll coach and develop your team, foster strong employee relations, and champion health and safety initiatives. Job Description
What you'll be doing:
Promote and rigorously review health and safety on site.
Contact, review, and coach all security personnel monthly to monitor performance and maintain positive employee relations.
Maintain effective communication through informal briefings and toolkit talks.
Address employee relations issues promptly and consistently, following company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
Report all incidents in compliance with customer policy and procedure.
Plan, develop, and implement strategies for personnel training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
Manage special assignments, ensuring adherence to agreed security procedures.
Maintain the highest professional standards at all times.
Monitor and report faults with security-related equipment accurately.
Be fully conversant with operational functions (Access Control, CCTV, Detection, Alarm Systems).
Analyse complex information to identify security-related trends and report effectively.
Ensure understanding and implementation of company values.
Provide appropriate training, advice, and support to ensure team success.
Act as the first point of contact for site security function-related queries.
Accurately complete company documents in line with policy/process.
Refer staffing level issues to the Site Security Manager.
Perform other duties as directed by the Protective Services Branch Manager.
Demonstrate commitment to company values and recognition programmes

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
Current valid SIA licence (Frontline, CP, DS, or SG)
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion
Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities, plans, and schedules
Strong management experience in a security environment
Must have the right to work in the UK
British National – must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years (site requirement)
Five-year checkable employment history or ability to provide documentation for unemployment, self-employment, or education
Skilled in relationship building, influencing, and managing sensitive matters
Knowledge of corporate and major event security
Ability to embody and uphold Securitas core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
