Job Description
Sandisk is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director, Supply Chain Planning & Optimization to lead high-impact initiatives across global supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, and business strategy. This role combines deep industry expertise, advanced analytics, and executive-level influence to improve demand-supply alignment, optimize inventory and capacity, and translate complex operational challenges into measurable business outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead global supply chain planning and optimization strategies across demand, supply, capacity, materials, inventory, and production planning.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks while balancing service, cost, inventory, capacity, and revenue objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing data-driven recommendations, scenario analyses, and executive decision support.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation, governance, and benefits realization.
- Partner with Business Units, Fab Operations, Product Planning, Inventory Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, and IT to align plans and execution.
- Drive optimization of memory, materials and capex to support product priorities and revenue targets.
- Champion advanced analytics, financial modeling, and decision-support capabilities using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and optimization methods.
- Guide the use and evolution of Advanced Planning Systems, including Blue Yonder or i2, and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
- Sponsor continuous improvement, process transformation, automation, and planning capability development across Global Operations.
- Build and develop a high-performing team and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and bias for action.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience in supply chain planning, production planning, industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, or operations strategy.
- Proven leadership experience in a complex global manufacturing environment, with responsibility for cross-functional programs and organizational change.
- Deep knowledge of demand, supply, inventory, capacity, materials, and production planning practices.
- Strong analytical capability, including scenario analysis, financial modeling, and data-driven problem solving.
- Experience with Advanced Planning Systems such as Blue Yonder or i2 and enterprise systems such as SAP.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
- Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder influence, and presentation skills.
PREFERRED:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience in semiconductor, memory, electronics, or another complex high-volume manufacturing industry.
- Experience leading global teams and enterprise-wide supply chain transformation.
- Experience applying optimization, simulation, predictive analytics, or decision-science methods to supply chain problems.

- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
