Job Description

Lead and manage the Test Equipment Engineering team to ensure high equipment reliability, operational excellence, and continuous manufacturing support. The role is responsible for overseeing daily equipment engineering operations, driving issue resolution, improving equipment performance, and developing team capabilities to support business objectives and factory performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Test Equipment Engineering team to achieve operational and organizational goals.
  • Manage daily equipment engineering activities, including task planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and execution. 
  • Ensure equipment readiness, reliability, uptime, and production support to meet manufacturing commitments.
  • Lead incident management, escalation handling, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, productivity, and equipment performance enhancement initiatives. 
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve equipment KPIs, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, safety requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Provide regular performance reviews, operational updates, and recommendations for strategic improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Test Equipment Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, or a related manufacturing engineering environment. 

Skills:

  • Prior experience leading engineers, technicians, or cross-functional technical teams. 
  • Strong knowledge of test equipment operations, reliability engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support. 
  • Proven experience in incident management, root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement. 
  • Experience with automation initiatives, equipment performance optimization, and manufacturing KPI management.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and team development skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment and drive results through collaboration and operational excellence.
