Job Description

We are looking for a General Counsel  to join the team and efficiently drive our business forward while maintaining high standards for professionalism and compliance.You will work closely with the founders, our high caliber advisors, and our engineering team to ensure the right product is built, delivered on-time and is loved by our customers.

Our founding team has designed and built companies on the consumer front acquired by Google, as well as enterprise tech companies valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars with software solutions mass deployed across Fortune 500 aerospace, CPG, automotive, industrial, healthcare, and energy companies. 

 You will be given a high degree of freedom and trust, and in exchange, we expect a high degree of responsibility.

Your day-to-day at RxDefine: 

  • Draft contract templates for executive use to increase the efficiency of contract negotiation

  • Negotiate legal terms on behalf of Rxdefine directly with contracting parties to resolve legal issues to the satisfaction of both parties

  • Provide legal analysis and consultative services consistent with Rxdefine values as well as applicable laws and regulations, while balancing legal risks with business objectives

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

  • Accomplishes organizational mission by completing requested projects as needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to determine their business goals and provide legal guidance

  • Provide counsel to leadership and departments 

  • Adapt professional staff and other documents to changes in regulations, laws, and client practices relating to professional matters.

  • Review rules of executive agencies for statutory or legal compliance

  • Recommend organizations policy and positions on legal issues

  • Conduct research into a variety of legal issues

  • Take initiative to solve complex legal and regulatory problems

  • Maintain knowledge of clients’ current business activities, as well as current legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of minimum experience 
  • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States.
  • Experience with a wide variety of health care contracts and transactions, including professional service agreements, employment agreements (1099 law), healthcare fraud and abuse law.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory areas applicable to healthcare technology, particularly HIPAA.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in a U.S. jurisdiction
  • Position requires a highly developed degree of business judgment, initiative, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to relate to a wide range of individuals and to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision in a time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential as are analytical ability, creative problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively set and manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal errors
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and foster a cooperative work environment
  • Professional use of Microsoft Office suite and competency with G-Suite
