About the role
We are currently seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to join our team on a 12 Month Max Term basis to assist in supporting a strong safety-orientated culture across the organisation.
In this role you will provide practical guidance and support to leaders and team members on work health and safety matters, contributing to a safe, healthy and engaged workplace.
You will play a key role in supporting WHS compliance, continuous improvement, injury management and safety initiatives, while actively contributing to WHS governance and organisational maturity. Other responsibilities of the role include:
- Conduct WHS Risk Assessments - Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections and audits across office environments, facilities and events.
- Support Incident & Investigation Activities - Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations to support continuous improvement.
- Develop WHS Policies & Procedures - Contribute to the development and review of safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance and uplift WHS practices.
- Deliver Safety Training & Programs - Support the development and delivery of tailored safety training and initiatives.
- Contribute to WHS Projects - Support broader business strategies through involvement in WHS related projects and initiatives.
- Provide Injury Management Support - Consult with and advise injured employees on workers compensation processes and support return‑to‑work activities.
Qualifications
About you
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing workers compensation claims, liaising with insurers and supporting return‑to‑work processes.
- Experience in a safety advisor or similar WHS role within a complex or multi‑site environment.
- Working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and associated regulations.
- Experience supporting risk assessments, control validation, and safety system implementation.
- Capability in incident investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM or equivalent)
- Ability to critically assess potential solutions and make practical, well‑reasoned recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage a diverse range of people and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to providing a high level of customer service and WHS support.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in all work undertaken.
