Job Description

The Inventory Planner contributes to rue21’s results by developing and executing inventory management plans for specific product categories. This Individual will manage merchandise assortment and inventory levels by location. This role Is reporting to the Manager of Inventory Planning in our Warrendale, Pennsylvania office. 

• Commits to supporting rue21’s vision, mission, and values of an inclusive environment and sets an example for their team or sphere of influence.
• Create and maintain store volume and segmentation clusters that drive assortment planning, buying and allocation strategies.
• Manage prepack and bulk purchase quantities by size for assigned product categories.
• Develop Allocation strategies for replenishment, fashion and seasonal product.
• Develop location sales and inventory plans ensuring inventory levels are balanced to drive sales and align with presentation levels, floor set directives and store format constraints.
• Create assortment plans to ensure choice counts and depth support store needs and strategic merchandising vision.
• Initiate conversation with management and cross functional partners to recommend invenotry management strategies.
• Analyze on an ongoing basis all aspects of store sales, inventory, turn and trends by store clusters.
• Support Field Teams through Top Store Company initiatives and ongoing analytics. 

Qualifications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field|
• 2+ years’ experience in Allocation, Store Planning, Merchandise Planning, or Buying preferred
• Practical experiences creating reports, tracking sheets, and presenting findings
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and manage multiple projects at once

• Efficient organization, prioritization, and planning skills

SYSTEM EXPERIENCE

• Microsoft Office suite (high level of Excel proficiency required)
• MID / Logility / JDA / Blue Yonder or other inventory planning and allocation systems
• Reporting tools and systems such as Tableau and Microstrategy
