Job Description

A passion for the customer and building an exceptional user experience to focus on rue21 digital properties. In this fast-growing team, you must be a self-starter and able to achieve business goals.  You will be responsible for creating and managing all analytics tags in Google Tag Manager and assure proper data is being captured in Google Analytics. You will guide digital team strategic initiatives through the enablement, collection and analysis of digital data with a focus on continually improving the customer experience.

• Responsible for creation and management of analytics tagging and data quality assurance to ensure the customer experience is tracked to support ongoing digital optimization and testing with data driven insights
• Support A/B and multivariate testing by analyzing and reporting test results
• Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, share priorities and key learnings, serving as an expert on eCommerce tagging, analytics and tracking of online consumer behavior.
• Support the product development lifecycle for the rue21 website providing analysis for prioritization of user stories and measuring success of initiatives
• Provide reporting and actionable insights for driving decisions of targeted business objective and optimization of digital experiences
• Develop Data Studio dashboards based on custom requirements
• Work closely with IT, development, and other cross-functional teams to successfully execute and deliver on initiatives
• Utilize market research, customer surveys, and web analytics data to understand customer needs, discovering competitive and functional gaps and identifying new opportunities to ultimately define a product roadmap

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a digital product analytics or web analytics capacity, including tag management with a proven track record of successfully launching new features

• Proficient in creation and management of analytics tags, UTM parameters, and data layer; the ability to create custom variables is preferred

• Detailed understanding of Google Tag Manager, Data Layer and Google Analytics to provide business insights into website engagement; GA4 migration experience is a plus

• Proficient in web analytics tools with ability to identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve the user experience and improve conversion.  Content Square experience is a plus

• Ability to validate data integrity and ensure proper tagging and tracking of new site features

• Experience with A/B testing tools like Google Optimize or Monetate

• Google Analytics Certified a plus

•Bachelor's degree

• Ability to think strategically and exhibit strong business acumen

• Technical understanding of web applications and digital analytics tracking

• Distinctive problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends to create actionable insights

• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and data into requirements

• Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Background in mobile eCommerce in a retail environment is a plus

• Proven ability to work with and influence senior management

• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills

• Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams

• Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
