Job Description

As a Retention Marketing Analyst on the rue21 Customer Strategy Marketing team, you will be responsible for customer segmentation, campaign operations and reporting, forecasting, offer recommendations and testing roadmap for all retention and loyalty marketing campaigns across email, SMS and direct mail. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to leverage our customer data across personalized marketing programs and automated marketing campaign journeys to identify optimization opportunities that deliver effective results against key business objectives for the rue21 brand.

The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, passion for digital marketing, be skilled at combining strategy and analytics to tell a story. Ability to adapt to change, thrive in ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing multi-channel retail environment is a must. A successful candidate will have strong skills and experience in lifecycle marketing, project management, budgeting, strategy, analytics, and relationship-building

 

Responsibilities

·         Create/update ongoing data visualization dashboards to track to business KPIs (weekly reporting, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, channel performance, promotion and campaign performance)

·         Create monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting plans to project eComm demand and suggest ways to drive additional demand

·         Create financial Proformas for specific customer segments and segmented campaign offers

·         Manage and lead customer segmentation efforts and generating customer lists for Email, SMS, PPC, Social and Direct Mail while also locating key campaign insights and opportunities for improvements

·         Outline and execute A/B testing for customer segmentation efforts, targeted offers and dynamic content/personalization features across channels

·         Perform daily, weekly, monthly reporting and Ad Hoc analyses to aid in quantifying success for marketing efforts/initiatives

·         Examine customer channel and campaign data to refine communication strategies for data-driven decision making

·         Execute against the customer communication strategy by owning customer segmentation across channels

·         Develop, implement, and monitor CRM journeys, triggers and automations with static and dynamic content, designed to drive conversion and engagement

·         Develop and manage testing capabilities and processes with the marketing teams, utilizing a testing roadmap, interpretation of results, analytic deep dives, and recommendations for action

·         Identify opportunities and perform actionable diagnostic analysis on marketing performance to produce quality insights, drive business strategies and maximize organizational efficiencies

·         Support Loyalty program through Ad Hoc analyses and promotion reporting with customer-level analytics 

·         Maintain Salesforce vendor relationship, owning audience segmentation and journey testing qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar field

• 3-4 years of experience in Marketing, Retail or similar

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

• Competency in Salesforce and SQL a plus

• Strong verbal and written communicator

• Knowledgeable in CRM, audience segmentation, customer analysis and reporting

• Strong background in analysis, able to pull insights and recommendations out of the data to make strong, data-driven recommendations and decisions

• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present to cross-functional teams and leadership

• Organized, self-starter

• Collaborative and critical thinker

• Shows curiosity, ambition and a willingness to learn
