The Software Engineer contributes to rue21's results by building great customer solutions. You will help design and develop software using modern technologies including, but limited to: JavaScript-based development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js), DevOps frameworks, Microservices, Web API, REST and SOAP, native iOS and Android, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Java, data integration tools / ESBs, and more. A software development background (computer science) is a must for this role. Candidate must also have a strong track record of delivering modern web and mobile solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and agile methods. 

•Commits to supporting rue21’s vision, mission, and values of an inclusive environment and sets an example for their team or sphere of influence. 
•    Listen to business needs, build solutions, and deliver with outstanding customer service 
•    Work with a team of experts and help mentor junior developers 
•    Write clear and concise code for Framework products 
•    Collaborate with the Sr. and Lead Software Development Engineer to implement design patterns and architecture 
•    Execute agile process to provide an excellent team experience 
•    Actively participate in planning sessions 
•    Collaborate to manage sprint execution to ensure plan completion 
•    Consistently complete tasks within estimates 
•    Focus on delivering quality with each completed story 
•    Continuously improve yourself, others, and our culture 
•    Be energized by developing your skillset
•    Gain mastery of what you know 
•    Explore new languages, technologies, and techniques 

•    1-2 years of experience in software development (computer science) 
•    Experience participating on teams to deliver modern web and mobile solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and agile methods. 
•    BA or BS in a business or technology related field or equivalent experience and technial training
•    Experience with various coding languages (Object oriented languages, JavaScript, etc.) 
•    Experience integrating with 3rd party API's 
•    Experience working with Agile methodology or SCRUM 
•    Understanding of DevOps 
•    Enjoys staying up to date on modern software development technology, tools, and process 
•    Enjoys technology-based hobbies outside of work 
•    Continuous learner who has recently read, watched, and listened to material related to the field of software development 
•    Enjoys mentoring others to help them achieve growth
