Job Description
The Field Recruiter, based in our Warrendale, PA office, will aggressively source and recruit top talent for store leadership positions while developing a pipeline of candidates for future openings.
Own the full-cycle recruitment process for field leadership positions.
Effectively identify candidates by networking, utilization of job boards, LinkedIn, and maximizing employee referrals. Constantly seek new sources and explore creative ways to drive applicant traffic.
Conduct brand right interviews that incorporate behavior based questions and reflect the inclusive spirit of rue21.
Engage in ongoing dialogue with hiring managers by providing regular recruitment updates, identifying anticipated openings, and developing the process to build a candidate pipeline.
Create and implement hiring strategies to meet increased demand during peak business periods such as holiday and back to school.
Provide accurate weekly open job report to field senior leadership.
Develop and implement virtual hiring event model.
Audit and maintain job posting compliance by state.
Align with field leadership on desired candidate experience and skills.
Coordinate interviews with hiring groups including arranging schedules, making travel arrangements when necessary, gathering interview feedback; and negotiating employment offers in partnership with senior management and hiring managers.
Establish and maintain positive business relationships with hiring managers and their teams.
Serve as relocation expert and manage the program to ensure consistency. Provide guidance to peers as they hire candidates needing to relocate.
Own employee referral program by managing the routing of referrals, tracking of status and hiring decision, payouts to referring employees as eligible, and follow up communication with both referring employee and referral until hiring decision has been made.
Other projects as assigned based on the needs of the business.
Qualifications
An interest in the HR career path
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Prior retail experience is strongly preferred
Prior retail management (specifically Store Manager and District Manager) recruitment experience preferred
3+ years related recruiting experience
Outstanding candidate assessment skills
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook & Internet applications
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work through ambiguity and make decisions or recommendations that meet the business need
Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
