Job Description
Summary:
As a Planning Analyst you support the achievement of company objectives and financial goals through analysis and support of the merchandise planning function.
Responsibilities:
- Support merchandise planning function with the development and improvement of all business tools and reporting
- Analyze and track promotional events for key learning and recommendations, and maintain documentation and calendars
- Ad hoc data mining, analysis and projects based on current business needs
- Establish collaborative relationships with cross functional partners. (buying, planning, IT/BI, store operations, marketing)
- Train for back up for two critical department roles
- Locate and define process improvement opportunities and best practices within the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
- Advanced Excel, and data query skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Retail or analytics experience preferred
