Summary

The Front End Developer is responsible for implementing, planning, and overseeing strategy and execution for all marketing pages on the rue21 website including the homepage, category landing pages, banners and more. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with creative (copy and design), site merchandising, consumer marketing, and IT to support all business initiatives and promotions. This individual is retail savvy, has a can-do attitude and prides themselves on attention to detail. As business seasonality ebbs and flows, the ability to plan ahead, collaborate and be nimble in this fast-paced environment will strongly correlate to success.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and create wireframes for homepage refreshes and updates
• Supervise and assist in the execution and implementation of creative for rue21.com
• Ability to create content and implement changes
• Schedule and manage deployments
• Oversee and consistently update rue21 site content calendar to keep business partners aligned on homepage and site content changes
• Create weekly reports of content performance and recommend strategy changes based on data received
• Work cross-functionally with email, SMS, paid advertising, and social media teams to ensure consistency with rue21 website
• Manage, train and mentor site content coordinator
• Adhere to corporate branding guidelines

• Required website, ecommerce and retail experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with a CMS
• HTML & CSS Proficiency
• Experienced in Javascript
• Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
• Ability to respond and react to quick business changes, based on business needs
• Team player, strong collaborator and determined problem solver
