Job Description

The Benefits Specialist in the People and Culture department is hyper-focused on those two aspects as it relates to the success of the company. They are entrepreneurial and rarely need others to hold them accountable. They effectively and efficiently use their leadership presence through all channels to achieve the best result. They are resourceful and utilize all available functions for the most positive outcome.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily administration of the company’s health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, FSA, COBRA, ACA, or any company benefit plan offerings.
  • Coordination and administration of the company’s leave of absence programs including FMLA, Non-FMLA Leave, Personal Leave and other forms of Leave.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the benefits and leave information in the HRIS Benefits systems, and Leave of Abscence System.
  • Maintains close communication with rue21 associates regarding insurance changes and educate associates on utilization of health coverage, leaves and
  • other benefit related items.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field    
  • RETAIL EXPERIENCE - Prior retail experience is a plus
  • EXPERIENCE - Minimum 4+ years experience in benefits, leave of absences, and compliance
