Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Rochester, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of our shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional communication with internal teams, carriers, and clients.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to customers
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels
- Track shipments using shipping management systems and provide customers with delivery updates and tracking information
- Communicate with shipping carriers and vendors to arrange pickups, resolve delivery issues, and negotiate rates
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory levels, and shipping costs
- Verify shipment contents, weights, and dimensions to ensure compliance with carrier requirements and shipping regulations
- Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and customer complaints in a timely manner
- Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on delayed or problematic shipments
- Organize and maintain shipping supplies and equipment
- Assist in analyzing shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or a related operational role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with shipping management systems and carrier software platforms
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, compliance requirements, and carrier guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and warehouse management software (preferred)
- Experience with international shipping procedures (preferred)
