Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
Oversee and co-ordinate daily operational requirements within the warehouse, ensuring the safety of all team members and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehoused goods, ensuring all productivity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Take a proactive and disciplined approach to Rotork Environmental Health and Safety policy, driving the right behaviours, encouraging identification and resolution of potential hazards. Reporting and closing out investigation into accidents and incidents.
- Lead the warehouse in accordance with the Rotork Management Operations System. Implementing warehouse policies to achieve the organisational goals.
- Lead the warehouse team, providing training, coaching and development opportunities.
- Manage the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse processes, ensuring plan for every part is deployed successfully and the processes are sustained and relevant.
- Manage the accuracy of stock movement and control, achieving shift outputs and deliverables.
- Own the warehouse Tier 1 SQDCP process and information flow into the Tier 2 SQDCP process.
- Plan resource and capacity (internal and external) requirements based on production requirements.
- Promotes deployment and execution of lean principles, providing the team with guidance and coaching.
- Rigorous approach to 5s principles, warehouse, and inventory management policies.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety walks and assess warehouse and yard for compliance.
- Maintain all warehouse equipment, FLT, Pallet trucks, Scales, Racks to ensure compliant.
- Key user for warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Lead the cycle count and stocktaking execution to improve inventory accuracy and control.
- Accountable for all warehouse metrics, performance, and root cause countermeasures.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Diploma / BE from the recognised University
- Previous experience and knowledge of warehousing, and inventory control methods and procedures.
- Proven track record on delivery of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery in a warehouse environment.
- Previous experience of warehouse management systems.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable
- Automotive/Fast Moving Consumer Goods warehouse experience.
- Familiarisation with warehouse management systems.
