  1. Identify & predict the state of a person based on eye movements in real-time & deliver appropriate interventions to improve user experience and performance -> fatigue, cognitive load, cybersickness, reading comprehension and more.
  2. Universal compatibility for all eye-tracking sensors via an automated conversion engine -> build to a single, common eye-tracking data format without constant revalidation for new devices or firmware updates.

Your Role

As a software engineer you will perform a wide range of engineering tasks including develop new products, creating POCs, and improving the software lifecycle. Your role will include:

  • Design and documentation: perform detailed technical design for new products/features and documentation of architecture and code.
  • SDLC: be an active part of the development lifecycle. Collaborate with team members, perform code reviews, and improve CI/CD process.
  • Develop POCs: research new technologies and build out proof-of-concepts from the ground up then report findings to the VP of Engineering.
  • Data Infrastructure: work on the data analytics infrastructure and assist the data science team with managing modeling pipelines and productionizing code.
  • Security, Quality, and Maintainability: ability to look at current codebase and understand measures beyond the functional requirements that produce a highly polished product.

Must Have Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering/development
  • Experience with building and deploying SDKs as a service and/or on the edge
  • Experience with machine learning and related tooling
  • Experience with python including scientific packages including NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow
  • Experience with at least one statically typed and one dynamically typed language

Nice-to-have-skills:

  • Knowledge of building AWS infrastructure including EC2, EKS, S3 and RDS
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization
  • Experience with sensor data, preferably eye-tracking
  • Experience with time-series data
  • Experience with Unity and other game engines
