Job Description
Overview
Ridgeline International is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to join our HR team for the summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience across a range of HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. You will work alongside a small seasoned HR team, gaining real-world exposure to how a growing organization attracts, supports, and retains top talent.
What You Will Do
- Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records and supporting onboarding processes
- Help coordinate and schedule interviews, orientations, and internal training sessions
- Support the HR team with benefits enrollment inquiries and employee communications
- Conduct research on HR best practices, employment law updates, and industry trends
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and internal culture building activities
- Draft and review HR documentation such as offer letters, policy updates, and internal communications
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and HRIS system maintenance
What You Will Learn
- How HR functions within a growing, mission driven organization
- The end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through offboarding
- Coordinate and present at one new hire onboarding session
- How to compile and organize HR data and basic workforce metrics using Paycom HRIS
- How to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization in a professional setting
- How to coordinate and organize one employee engagement activity before the end of summer
Qualifications
What You Need to Qualify
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Bonus Points If You Have the Following
- Coursework or prior experience in human resources, organizational behavior, or employment law
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycom, Workday, BambooHR, or similar)
- Previous internship or work experience in a professional office setting
Physical & Work Environment
- Must be capable of remaining stationary for 50% of the time; occasional movement within the office environment may be required
- The role involves continuous interaction with computers and other office productivity equipment
