About the role

We are looking for a positive, flexible and hands-on F&B Host to join our team.

We are a small hotel where teamwork is at the heart of how we operate. This means that we work across different areas within Food & Beverage and help each other wherever needed. While the main part of this position is within breakfast service, the role also includes conference lunches, occasional dinner service, dishwashing and general support to the kitchen and F&B team.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, guest interaction and being part of a team where everyone contributes.

Key Responsibilities

Breakfast Service

The majority of your working hours will be connected to breakfast. Your responsibilities include:

• Welcoming guests and creating a friendly start to their day
• Replenishing and maintaining the breakfast buffet throughout service
• Making sure the buffet and restaurant always look clean, organised and inviting
• Clearing and cleaning tables
• Preparing and resetting the restaurant
• Supporting the kitchen when needed
• Dishwashing and keeping back-of-house areas clean and organised
• Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning routines

Meetings & Events

When we have courses, conferences or groups, you will support our Meetings & Events operation. This may include:

• Preparing meeting rooms and F&B areas for service
• Serving lunch, coffee breaks and refreshments
• Replenishing food and beverages during events
• Clearing and resetting after service
• Helping ensure our conference and group guests receive friendly and efficient service

Dinner Service

We have a limited dinner operation, usually around 2–3 dinner services per month, depending on groups and events. When required, the role may include:

• Preparing the restaurant for dinner
• Welcoming and serving guests
• Food and beverage service
• Clearing, cleaning and resetting after service

One Team

Because we are a small hotel, flexibility is an important part of the role.

We do not work with strict boundaries between “my job” and “your job”. The F&B team works closely together across breakfast, kitchen, service and dishwashing, and everyone helps where needed to make sure the operation runs smoothly and our guests have a great experience.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with guests and providing friendly service
• Is reliable, positive and hands-on
• Enjoys working as part of a small team
• Is flexible and happy to help across different areas
• Can work independently and take responsibility during a shift
• Works well in a busy environment
• Has a good eye for cleanliness, presentation and detail
• Is comfortable with both guest-facing tasks and practical operational tasks
• Is available to work every second weekend and occasional evenings

Previous experience from hotels, restaurants, cafés or similar hospitality environments is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
