Job Description
In this role you will serve as a senior consultant supporting education projects supporting states and other entities focused on serving children birth to age eight. These projects focus on the ongoing changes to refine and develop robust accountability systems that help lead to improved child outcomes. Our projects help to take the clients from having an idea around integrating early childhood education systems, to putting those ideas into a practical approach and strategy, working with client teams and our technology consultants.
Day-to-day responsibilities in this role may include:
- Support business development through review of relevant RFPs and/or direct requests from state agencies or other entities, interacting with existing and potential clients to assess needs, iterate on solutions, and assist in approach and proposal development in alignment with Resultant offerings
- Support specific projects to maintain the goals established by state early childhood systems including, but not limited to complying with state and federal law, creating legislative action plans, budgets, policy statements, etc.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and/or project manager for these projects including management of client relationship, scope management and guiding a team through the implementation of a scope of work in alignment with client needs;
- Develop and maintain relationships with early childhood community leaders statewide to cultivate a network of high-impact leaders who work collaboratively to best serve the needs of children and families statewide
- Support thought leadership activities such as blogs, white papers, conferences and other activities related to early childhood policies, directives and strategies
- Perform all other duties as directed by the team leaders and managers
Qualifications
Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following:
- 5+ years of consulting experience in early childhood or education, and/or relevant early childhood teaching/administration
- Knowledge and experience with early childhood data and technologies (e.g., accountability systems)
- Bachelors/Masters degree; focus/concentration in Early Childhood, Education, Policy, Economics, or Business Administration is preferred
- Experience creating and supporting in a critical capacity large-scale strategic initiatives
