Reporting to the Senior Manager, Research & Innovation, Investments, this role supports the Rest Investments Research and Innovation function, using AI as its key input.
- Support build the infrastructure required to undertake high quality research ensuring the tools used are robust, scalable and accurate and in line with Rest’s broader technology approach.
- Clean, structure and synthesise internal information and/or those from multiple providers to create high quality inputs and navigate vast amounts of internal and external research
- Proactively identify manual, repetitive tasks within the investment function and develop solutions to increase the teams overall operational velocity
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, ensuring Rest Investments has the systems and process to ensure a successful AI-drive research and innovation function.
- Ensure the high level innovation strategy because a functional reality by presenting insights clearly, succinctly and with impact.
- Ensure successful experiments are absorbed into the investment team culture/identity and foster a culture of curiosity, safety and continuous learning and improvement
Qualifications
- Relevant degree to conducting high quality research and innovation in an investment environment
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrable experience in a research and/or innovation role.
- Experience with intelligence layers, LLMs, specialised to the investment industry.
- Experience with Data ingestion, AI Synthesis, Insight Generation and Process Refinement
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong experience of end-to-end research process, including stakeholder engagement, research design, project management, analysis and reporting.
- Experience in partnering with external research providers / academic institutions
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, sharing clear simple insights to drive action.
- Ability to use Snowflake, Bloomberg and Factset systems
- Python, SQL & Data Architecture preferred
