Job Description

Responsibilities
The Employee will fulfill duties in two primary capacities:

Field Application Engineer (75%)
The Employee will be responsible for executing technical sales support, pre-sales activities, and customer engagement. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct technical discovery engagements, technical sales presentations, and product (value proposition) demonstrations.
  2. Create and deliver (both live and on demand) quality technical content to assist sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  3. Quickly understand client technical and business challenges while establishing personal and company credibility with prospects, customers, and partners.
  4. Serve as a technical expert to help the Sales Team drive the sales process for assigned opportunities and accounts, thereby reducing the sales cycle.
  5. Expand the sales pipeline within targeted accounts and act as the primary technical liaison.
  6. Participate in strategic and tactical planning related to sales and business opportunities.
  7. Drive adoption and reinforce the value of Altium’s product portfolio by increasing subscription commitments, renewals, and brand loyalty.
  8. Continuously expand technical knowledge proactively by exploring technical content and the Altium product roadmap.
  9. Maintain knowledge of competitor products, features, and emerging technologies to strategically position Altium’s product capabilities with prospects and customers.

Trainer, Content Developer (25%)

 The Employee will:

  1. Train customers with a high level of professionalism using Altium Training Content.
  2. Deliver instructor-led training sessions to Altium customers.
  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all training content provided to customers.
  4. Develop and update training content, including scripts, video storyboards, project examples, and independently create technical video series.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments for new product features and development.
  6. Provide mentorship and guidance to internal and external trainers.
  7. Deliver courses as appropriate and updated from time to time.

 

Qualifications

Experience with Altium Designer preferred but not essential.

Electrical/Electronics engineering background desired.

Some travel across Australia & New Zealand.
