Job Description
The Certified Trainer – Content Developer is a member of the Altium Training group responsible for the delivery of industry leading instruction on Altium’s products. The training is aimed at enabling customers to fully utilize our product features and capabilities with best practices. Customer training is integral to the success and long-term growth of Altium through engaging technical training using various media formats.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for delivering technical training as well as reviewing and verifying training content. Must be able to train customers with a high level of professionalism while demonstrating tool proficiency.
Exclusivity:
This is an exclusive arrangement with Altium. An External Certified Trainer may not use the provided Altium Training Content, course outlines, or other Altium intellectual property to deliver training through their own business or independent practice. However, trainers may provide Altium software instruction using their own proprietary training materials and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Must have US citizenship or permanent residency status to meet government facility access and security clearance requirements.
Deliverables:
Customer training with a high level of professionalism using Altium Training Content.
- Courses to be delivered by trainer will include:
- Altium Designer Instructor Led – Essentials
- Altium Designer Instructor Led – Advanced
- Altium Designer Instructor Led – Fundamentals Schematic
- Altium Designer Instructor Led – Fundamentals PCB
- Altium Designer Instructor Led – Harness Design
- Training content development for the Altium Designer and Altium products.
Course structure:
- Essentials ILT is 3 days at 8 hours per day
- Advanced ILT is 3 days at 8 hours per day
- Fundamentals Schematic 2 days at 8 hours per day
- Fundamentals PCB 2 days at 8 hours per day
- Harness Design ILT – 1 day at 8 hours
- There will be a total of 12-15 students per class
- Courses are delivered online as well as onsite at customer locations.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Instruct Altium Customers using Altium Training Content.
- Provide Online and Onsite Customer Training.
- Maintain knowledge of all Training Content provided to Altium Customers.
- Collaborate with other Trainers and colleagues.
- Must always represent Altium in a professional manner.
Experience include but not limited to:
- Required: Fluency in Spoken and Written English.
- Required: 2+ years of Experience with Altium products.
- Required: 2+ years of System / Board design experience using Altium Designer.
- Required: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (Oration and Technical Writing) in English
- Required: Fluent in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Required: Must be able to effectively communicate the status of each project/tasks as needed on-time.
- Required: Be driven, self-managed, organized, and motivated.
- Preferred: 1+ years previous experience as a Technical Trainer, both Face to Face and live web-based Training.
Working conditions – Remote working, occasional visits to regional offices. This job will require delivering online training through our chosen training platform, as well as on occasion some travel for onsite customer training.
The hourly rate for this role is $125/hr. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
