Company Description

The Athlete Communications Specialist is responsible for following and engaging with the athletes and teams to create unique athlete communications opportunities for Red Bull Türkiye.

The role understands the ways of sports industry and athlete performances, attributes, and challenges.  Athlete Communications Specialist ensures a positive impact on the Red Bull brand, maximizes cooperation efficiency (input/output ratio), and challenges the status quo by driving outstanding athlete communications projects where appropriate.

Job Description

Athlete Communications

Follow closely national/local athletes and teams in different playgrounds (voleyball, basketball etc.)

Support Athlete Team in scouting of athletes with a perfect brand fit

Use creativity to develop communications opportunities to engage local & national Red Bull athletes 

Integrate local Red Bull athletes to global brand projects and integrate international Red Bull athletes' local projects 

Networking 

Build a strong sport‑performance network among athletes, trainers, clubs, and federations to enable nationwide scouting for potential future cooperations

Collecting relevant marketing and communication information from the industry

Act as a key point of contact linking the RBMN team and the athlete regarding sports know‑how, athlete mindset, and important potential communication opportunities (competitions, projects, initiatives). 

Developing and contributing unique stories, interesting topics, new formats, and top media content

PR & Communications

Plan, lead and execute PR activations related to Red Bull’s projects, content, and general activities involving athletes (Strong project management, follow-up and reporting required to successfully achieve the targeted communication outcomes)

Coordinate with PR agency to maximize impact and efficiency in athlete communications goals (press events, interviews, message track, kits etc.)

Cultivate and manage relationships with other stakeholders in athlete and sports community

Manage photography and news cut outputs or projects in line with global guidelines  

Manage budget of all related projects

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience PR agency or communications is preferred.

Previous experience in sports industry; sports institution or federation, or sports journalism is a plus.

Strong interest and following of athlete performance and life, with a focus on team sports.

Effective communication skills; well‑organized and self-starter; a team player with an entrepreneurial “can‑do” attitude and a creative mindset.

Techy savvy & solid computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Very close relationship with global teams; advanced English in speaking and writing required.
