The New York Red Bulls are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium (SIS) in Harrison, New Jersey. The Manager, Player Care is responsible for overseeing all aspects of onboarding and relocation logistics for new players and staff, ensuring the transition into the club is seamless and well supported. Beyond the initial integration, the Manager provides comprehensive, ongoing support to staff, players, and their families, helping them adjust to new environments, navigate daily life, and access key resources.
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute onboarding and relocation logistics for new players and staff, including essential services like housing, transportation, schooling and banking.
- Provide ongoing support for to players and their families, assisting with acquiring childcare, schooling, cultural adjustment, community integration, healthcare and visa documentation.
- Manage language classes process including coordination with the provider and players regarding progress.
- Support Home Match Day operations related to the player families, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment that enhances their experience and engagement with the club.
- Manage club-provided housing for First Team and Second Team players including check-ins, standards and policies.
- Plan and implement social events such as, barbecues, birthdays and important club moments.
- Develop strong relationships with players, families and internal stakeholders to anticipate needs, resolve issues efficiently and provide proactive support.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the player and family experience, including streamlining processes, introducing new resources, and ensuring consistent delivery for high-quality support.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in player care, athlete support, or a related field within professional sports or elite youth development.
Previous experience of developing training/activities/workshops for athletes
Knowledge of safeguarding issues, SafeSport policies, and best practices
Experience supporting the emotional and mental health issues that affect young athletes utilizing medical referrals when applicable.

The base salary for this position is $60,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified.
