The main purpose of the Electrical Engineer’s job is to design and develop industrial control systems, subsystems, and electronic and RF circuits per client requirements. The role will be responsible for developing new designs as well as sustaining innovation. Support the product development engineering cycle from concept development to prototyping, validation, final product and successful handover to operations.

Principal Accountabilities

• Circuit development including On-board power supply design, power regulation, Transistor level design, AC circuits, networks, filters, High speed circuits and signals.
• Design coordination across HW, Firmware, SW, Diagnostic and Mechanical engineering.
• Develop system and circuit characterization programs to qualify designs against specifications.
• Developing functional wireless systems to client requirements, per engineering specifications.
• Hands-on development of subsystem architectures that span ASIC, FPGA and PCB implementation.
• Interface with external and internal technical experts, producing the engineering documents, attending gate reviews, maintaining technical specifications and providing engineering support.
• Participation in schematic capture, PCB floor planning, part evaluation and sourcing including vendor negotiations and management.
• Perform board level debug and validation of new and existing designs.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager.
• Power and thermal design, development and management.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to provide succinct and accurate technical reports and presentations
• Excellent knowledge of reading schematics and datasheets.
• Highly pronounced analytical skills.
• Knowledge in RF/Microwave, antenna and EM Theory, Proficiency in basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, smith chart, transmission line theory, link budget analysis.
• Knowledge of and experience with EMI mitigation techniques.
• Lab experience including use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers.
• Proficiency with wireless test equipment, specifically RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, signal generators etc.
• Skilled in Labview, MATLAB, C++, SPICE, ANSYS and EDA tools.
• Strong knowledge in Analog, digital, and RF circuit design, microcontroller design, low-noise design, and power delivery design and ground bounce concepts.
• Working knowledge of sensor and detection theories and technologies.
• Working knowledge of wireless communications technologies, communication topologies, and RF front end architecture simulation and design.

Communications and Working Relationships

• Attend engineering and management meetings.
• Excellent technical in English language (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
• Work with multifunctional engineering team.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Complies with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
• Identifies and reports to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and co-operate with his/her supervisor’s instructions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in Electrical design.

• The job of the Electrical Engineer requires local and international travel.
