Job Description

• Filters all Purchase Requests on assigned vessels for products and services, and accordingly submits requests to the concerned buyers in a timely manner
• Ensures that all Purchase Requests are encoded in the ERP system in an efficient and timely manner and without any errors
• Handles all purchases under Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) and purchasing contracts, and ensures maximum efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of RVOS purchases
• Is accountable for ensuring that Purchase Orders related to BPA / contracts are issued in a timely and effective manner
• Assists the buyers in the preparation of the quotation comparison sheets   
• Follows up to obtain required approval and to avoid delays in the purchasing transactions 
• Resolves changes and discrepancies, and accordingly updates the purchase order information 
• Supports the vessels and Head Office departments in the development of the purchasing yearly plan and budget 
• Coordinates with the Buyers to complete the Purchasing Plan and ensures it is regularly updated
• Ensures proper coordination with the Warehousing and Logistics functions for the handling and delivery of executed purchases
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager
• Tracks KPIs for his function, and devises plans and initiatives for improvements including automation

• Interfaces on a daily basis with the Buyers for the execution of Purchase Requests
• Coordinates closely with Warehousing and Logistics for the management of transfers
• Interfaces frequently with suppliers for purchase execution of BPA and contracts items

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in  business, or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operation comparable to RVOS
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, organization, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and to act quickly and decisively 
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS office applications and basic software applications. ERP knowledge is a plus
• Previous experience in the GCC is a plus, especially if the experience was in Saudi Arabia
• English fluency is a must; Arabic language is a plus
