Overview:

The Scrum Master plays an important role as a member of the Agile Coaching Team by leading and supporting development teams in their adoption of AGILE principles and the process framework. The ideal candidate will have Scrum Alliance Certification (or equivalent) as a Scrum Master with at least three years of experience as an AGILE practitioner in an AGILE organization.

Job Title- Sr. Scrum master

Duration- 12 Months

Location- St. Louis, MO

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate scrum of scrums at the program level utilizing scaled agile concepts.

• Mentor scrum masters at the team level.

• As a Scrum Master, coaches two to three teams in implementing and practicing Agile Principles and methods.

• Coaches teams toward self-organization.

• Promotes collaboration between many self-organizing, cross-functional development teams.

• Works closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to acceptance into an iteration/sprint;

• Holds teams accountable for meeting iteration/sprint commitments.

• Enabler for the team to adhere to the process framework ceremonies.

• Coaches and supports teams in estimation and release planning;

• Mediate, arbitrate, mitigate and facilitates impediments with the team members and the organizational hierarchy.

• Leverages awareness to identify impediments, should the team not explicitly declare.

• Facilitates methods for the team to seek higher productivity levels.

• Enables the team with the 5 levels of planning â vision, roadmap, release, sprint & daily.

• Has awareness of other development teamsâ overall roadmap plan, decreasing the possibility of duplicate work being done between teams.

• Encourages and helps to achieve transparency by widely reporting/publicizing team progress/success to a varied group of stakeholders; and

• Promotes and educates the entire organization to understand AGILE principles.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent work experience,

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an AGILE practitioner, working as a SCRUM (or other Agile Framework) team member; at least two years as a Scrum Master;

• Strong moderation, facilitation, coaching, presentation, communication and conflict management skills are required;

• Excellent working knowledge of SCRUM, KANBAN, Lean and other AGILE process frameworks;

• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE)

• Certified Scrum Master;

• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills;

• Strong goal setting and task prioritization and execution abilities; and

• Demonstrated ability for decision making, supporting diverse groups, and managing highly visible large-scale programs/projects.
