You will join our High-Rise Buildings Department

Join Ramboll’s dedicated Highrise & Complex Buildings Department, a global team of experts that has successfully designed over 150 tall building projects worldwide, including some of the most technically challenging structures. As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Dubai office, supporting global operations across the Middle East. You will coordinate with project managers and engineers to deliver world-class analysis and design solutions for Highrise projects.

This role is coming with a strong focus and primary responsibility on delivery and successful project execution.

    Job Description

    • Manage multiple projects through all stages of design, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
    • Prepare and review structural calculations, models, reports, and presentations to an exceptional standard.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate design decisions effectively to meet client and company objectives.
    • Present designs at internal workshops and lead external meetings with clients and consultants.
    • Monitor and manage the commercial performance of projects, including budget maintaining.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging Ramboll’s capabilities to deliver added value.
    • Actively contribute to technical development initiatives and maintain internal and external professional networks.
    • Prepare fee proposals, bids, and competition designs in collaboration with senior colleagues.
    • Lead and inspire a structural engineering team, fostering collaboration and maintaining high team morale.
    • Work independently and collaboratively to deliver innovative, practical, and sustainable design solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Qualified Structural Engineer with 18+ years of experience, including leadership roles on major projects.
    • Master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
    • Extensive experience in designing mega projects in the region especially high rise and complex structures.
    • Broad design knowledge across multiple sectors (e.g., different concrete structures applications, steel structures, advanced building materials, etc).
    • Proficiency in American, European, and Middle Eastern codes of practice along with the local authorities’ regulations for the GCC.
    • Skilled in structural analysis software those are commonly used in the local market.
    • Proven ability to plan and monitor the commercial performance of projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage teams of engineers and technicians across multiple projects.
    • Strong conceptual design skills with an appreciation for multidisciplinary coordination.
    • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and digital.
