Company Description
A well-established growing Medical Financial Services company based in Downtown Orlando and is currently looking for an Experienced Financial Controller. Position is a 1-2 day per week role and will be 100% based in the office - this is not a remote role.
Job Description
This is an in-person position only located in Orlando, FL. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of CFO experience working within a service based organization. Candidates should have experience reviewing reports within QuickBooks Desktop and should have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance
- 7 years of experience as a CFO
- 5 years of recent experience working with a service based company
- Experience working with inter-company transfers is essential
Additional Information
POSITION DESCRIPTION (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Prepare daily/weekly reports including cost-to-complete reports
Post payables and receivables for jobs and various projects
Prepare & process payroll and payroll taxes
Prepare and monitor payments to subcontractors, suppliers and minority participants
Prepare monthly reports as requested by CEO
Prepare and maintain quarterly reporting for bonding
Prepare weekly financial reports for owner including profit/loss, payables, receivables
Pursue insurance rebates (annually)
Obtain loss runs and solicit new insurance bids (every 2 years)
Work with CEO and customers when needed for budgeting/financial analysis on specific projects
Review Banking records and activity, including:
o Monitoring account balances and activity on a daily basis for project commitments
o Maintaining ledger and reconcile accounts
o Prepare and deposit checks
o Issue checks for all activities as neededPrepare job cost reports when requested or as scheduled
Review year-end financial reports for year-end corporate tax returns
Assist with other team members on an AS NEEDED basis to meet company deadlines on special projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Continuous sitting throughout the work shift
Frequent bends, kneels and crouches
Must be able to read small print
Stooping and bending to files, supplies, mobility to complete tasks
Repetitive movements of hands, fingers and arms for typing, writing, sorting during work shift
Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing 10-20lbs
Continuous use of the telephone (speaking & listening) to verbally speak to insurance companies and/or assigned by senior management
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Must be able to handle stress
Will view computer screens for long periods of time.
Must be able to work standard office equipment: computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation
