Job Description

Write API reference guide 

Write tutorials 

Update existing content 

Document changes and updates 

Enter missing information and correct errors 

Create content in a fast-paced development environment 

Communicate with product team and platform engineering leads, surfacing issues as needed 


Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with at least 1 year experience in relevant area, technical writing and documentation 

Experience providing feedback on APIs during development cycles 

General knowledge of RESTful APIs, XML, JSON 

Excellent written and oral communication skills 

Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams 

Ability to meet multiple, tight deadlines 

Experience providing feedback on APIs during development cycles 

Portfolio examples of API reference documentation that include XSDs, XML and/or JSON response samples 

Experience with online retail, ecommerce is a plus

This is a job posting for Item Store/Marketplace. This is to be a contract to hire opportunity to staff the team with the resources needed to meet business objectives and head count needs for the team.

We are not looking for just a resume; this person must be able to show their experience and proficiency in this area to be successful. 


Candidate must possess strong software development skills to create conceptual and reference content including working code samples would be preferred 


They should be able to provide samples of API reference documentation that include XSDs, XML and/or JSON response samples 




If you have participated actively in API development cycles, providing feedback on the APIs themselves, and can show samples of developer tutorials and, ideally, dynamic websites, we want to meet you.
