Job Description
The Associate Director, Strategy & Investment will lead a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of media plans. As the AD, you effectively leverage your experience, knowledge, and skills to push fresh thinking while balancing client, agency, and team needs.
Role Objectives:
- Implement effective media strategies and lead all day-to-day aspects of planning and digital execution across multiple campaigns
- Identify key target insights based on client brief necessary for formulating strategic recommendations
- Act as the cross-team leader, overseeing planning and digital functions, while integrating all channels to develop cohesive and groundbreaking campaigns
- Develop innovative and creative media campaigns that drive awareness, watch intent and viewership
- Possess strong knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client’s business
- Lead by example assisting in all levels of the planning and activation process
- Work with internal investment teams to gauge media performance and KPIs to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
- Supervise, train, and develop skills of Assistants, Planners and Supervisors by managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy
- Provide job performance feedback to subordinates to manage career trajectory of the junior staff and make recommendations to management
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of junior staff
- Mentor and guide direct reports to ensure proper education for advancement
- Effectively communicate across all levels and be willing to adopt new skills
- Maintain detailed awareness of media landscape, trends, challenges, and competition
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- 4+ years of media planning/digital activation experience
- 2+ years of experience managing junior staff
- Ability to translate data into well-articulated and actionable ideas
- Have strong written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation
- Needs minimal supervision, relying on your own experience/ judgment
- Resource for others in resolution of complex problems/issues
- Excellent management, motivational, organizational, interpersonal, and quantitative/analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently
- Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $115,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
