Job Description

Overview:

Prepare and implement media plans for client accounts across all types of media.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide research for and write media Point-Of-Views (POVs).  Assess various variables including, but not restricted to: circulation, audience information, scale, penetration, and product or service usage.
  • Develop media strategy and recommendations under supervisor guidance.
  • Present media plans and provide plan maintenance including objectives/strategies and updates.
  • Maintain stewardship of reports including competitive reports using “Kantar” software to assess media schedules of competitors. Be capable of interpreting competitive data and relaying conclusions.
  • Prepare flowcharts and budgets for media plan using Excel, PowerPoint, and planning-specific software.
  • Prepare and issue buying specs and guidelines to buyers including GRP goals and budgets for use in negotiations.
  • Review and verify media buys to ensure proper execution.
  • Meet with sales reps to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plan.
  • Liaise with internal Strategic Resources department for use of syndicated resources.
  • Be willing to participate in more advanced functions as part of training and development.
  • Resolve routine, but complex questions and problems.
  • Be accountable for work quality to Zenith standards.
  • Demonstrate independent decision making.
  • Be capable of some personnel evaluation.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree

2+ year’s media planning experience (agency environment) across all types of media

Business Competencies:

  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, Kantar Software, IMS, Software Skills, Flowchart Software, Comscore
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn propriety software to develop plans that fulfill the “Live ROI” commitment to Zenith clients
  • Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions
  • Possess a basic knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of each media type.
  • Able to make independent decisions

Compensation Range: $53,000 - $73,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
