Job Description

What You’ll Do:  

The Vice President of Performance Content has shared accountability for driving the overall Performance Content COE evolution, operations, and revenue growth across Publicis agencies. In this role, the VP has responsibility for the Performance Content COE and its development, staffing, and execution, serving as the department leader and holding all Publicis agencies accountable for delivering and producing industry leading SEO and Conversion Optimization solutions. They are also responsible for supporting the continuous evolution of the Performance Content COE. As part of this, the VP acts as a steward for the practice framework, using it to drive service development, revenue retention, and organic growth. 

Role Objectives: 

Practice Development 

  • Shared accountability for client satisfaction and growth as it pertains to the performance content 

  • Serve as the performance content senior leader across all Publicis agencies, building agency relationships 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of marketplace conditions relevant to performance content and use that knowledge for ongoing communication with the market, Publicis agencies, and clients 

  • Continuous improvement and implementation of performance content operations, processes, and tools that drive client satisfaction, results and performance content innovation and service delivery 

  • Serves as a supporter to our agency’s performance marketing and SEO leads in key business development opportunities 

  • Lead prospecting opportunities within our agencies to elevate our SEO and conversion optimization solutions 

  • Drive adoption of performance content solutions through advocacy and education for performance media and content experts as well as client leadership 

  • Support the development of learning and development programs where necessary 

  • Identify and support the development of products to grow business and provide value to clients across the Publicis agencies 

  • Drive cross-agency collaboration through shared framework, methodology and workflow development  

  • Facilitate the connectivity of a network of highly motivated performance content experts 

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with leading SEO technology platforms  

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Manage and mentor team members, working to drive the strategic vision of COE and company  

  • Drive a culture based on teamwork, collaboration with accountability and intellectual curiosity 

  • Provide methodological coaching and mentorship across the team to develop critical thinking, quantitative and technical skills, working to drive business objectives and the strategic vision of the department and company  

  • Supports the hiring, training, and mentoring of all staff within the team 

  • Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports 

  • Reinforce a collaborative culture across teams for mentorship, shared product development and knowledge management  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising. 

  • Successfully worked in a Vice President/Group Director role in the digital space for 2 years, career experience specifically in digital design/creative/marketing/e-commerce/SEO is required 

  • 8-10 years of management experience in digital marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce, client and/or agency experience preferred 

  • 6-8 years of demonstrated success in leading large teams 

  • Proven success in creating and delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing and agency executives 

  • Proven success mentoring and managing a staff of various levels of experience from entry-level to senior roles
