Job Description

In response to demand for our services across our social media offering, we require a Director in our Social Media team to join our growing content marketing service, Publicis Content.

Reporting into a Business Director, you will be required to lead multiple social media campaigns across a range of clients and sectors including beauty, travel, FMCG and pharmaceutical. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of your campaigns from initial response through to campaign activation and post-campaign reporting, and conceiving innovative social media strategies for both existing clients and new business opportunities. You will also build strong relationships with clients, our client’s partner agencies, agency internal teams and other teams within the Content Service to deliver best-in-class creative solutions which consistently exceed client goals.

A creative mindset, the ability to think strategically and an expert knowledge of social media channels are essential for you to be successful in this role. You should have a clear point of view on how social content should evolve to remain competitive and relevant to clients, and be ready to share this with senior stakeholders. This is a growing team looking for someone with strong drive backed by solid experience to deliver award winning innovation projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Line manage at least one Executive and one Manager, providing leadership, inspiration and motivation

·         Provide regular feedback and build a trusted relationship with your team, and nurture them to challenge the way things are done to achieve measurable, continuous improvements

·         Collaborate with agency planning leads to identify opportunities for revenue growth by integrating social content and product services within organic growth and new business opportunities

·         Be seen as a thought leader by internal and external stakeholders

·         Confidently challenge briefs and deliver innovative, strategic responses by providing solutions to client challenges which meet their business goals

·         Problem solve and project manage at a senior level to deliver integrated social media solutions across a range of clients

·         Build trusted relationships with your team, the wider agency, clients and client agency partners to support client retention

 

Additional responsibilities

·         Produce cost plans which are profitable and adhere to pre-agreed client fees

·         Problem solve at a senior level and deal directly with clients to manage compensation solutions & challenges that may arise

·         Work with your own peers across the Content Service to drive transformation across the Social & Content Products team, ensuring continuity in the way you work

·         Lead and respond to new business briefs from around the wider business

·         Work with other Content teams such as influencers, creative, production, strategy or partnerships to help drive further Content revenue

 

Additional management responsibilities

·         Lead, inspire & motivate your team, setting SMART goals for your team which align with business goals and enable performance excellence

·         Develop your team’s skills in project management & negotiation

·         Instill best practice into your team to develop creative briefs, delivery roadmaps and post campaign reports

·         Take responsibility for campaign budget management to ensure campaign profitability and ensure deadlines and key milestones are met

·         Understand the finance processes and ensure team accuracy with client billings and supplier payments

·         Be accountable for the successful project management of all campaigns, providing guidance to your Exec to ensure key milestones and KPIs are met

·         Be accountable for your team’s accuracy & timely management of finance

Qualifications

·         Prior agency or client experience working in social media, being able to show evidence leading the delivery of integrated social media campaigns and content production

·         Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a client-facing role within a team environment

·         An expert knowledge of all social media channels and their integration within the marketing-communications mix, with a strong interest in the evolving trends of the social media landscape

·         A natural leader who is comfortable managing and motivating a team, with expert project management, operational management and negotiation skills

·         Proven success in developing and delivering innovative social media campaigns, budgets and timelines

·         Strong presenter with excellent communication skills, both written and oral

·         Outstanding organisational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail

·         Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple stakeholders

·         Prior experience in managing budgets and finance and with suppliers and multiple third parties
