Job Description

This Senior Designer role is a chance to join a new team that will be supporting Publicis Media Comms and its brands. The role will be working closely with the Head of Design UK in taking briefs and leading projects from Comms teams, new business teams and brand teams.

 

Applicant must be approachable, easy to work with and not bring an ego with them.
Guide and advise fellow employees (designers and stakeholders) in the creative process to foster stronger working. Supervise and advise more junior members of the team, coaching them and encouraging their development. Collaborate internally as well as with freelancers seamlessly. Working closely with the Head of Design to control quality and consistency of work leaving the design team.  The Senior Designer will always be looking for ways to push our work forward and find new ways to deliver information to our clients.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Oversee all design elements, from the initial conception to final delivery

·         Review the work of junior designers to give guidance and feedback

·         Use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product

·         Listen to design needs, come up with ideas and communicate them to clients and other members of the team

·         Delegate design tasks and provide support for junior-level design team members

·         Maintain high standards of quality and make sure only the best work is released to clients

·         Collaborate across the organisation to drive up standards of digital creativity

Qualifications

  • Experience of leading a team of designers.
  • Strong creative, organisational, problem solving and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge in graphic production process.
  • Work well with tight deadlines in a team environment.
  • Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity across Publicis Media and its brands.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with HTML, Wordpress, UX/UI design and motion graphics a plus but not essential. Applicant must possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a creative thinker who approaches brief and production challenges positively and with enthusiasm.
