Job Description

The role:

As a planning manager, you will be split across 2 clients – Essity and Sipsmith. You will report into the same Planning Director and will be responsible for the management of one account executive. Both of these clients offers excellent opportunity for growth.

Essity a leading global hygiene company and is the parent company of Plenty, Cushelle, Bodyform and TENA. Essity does not shy away from tackling social taboo’s – Bodyform has been leading the charge for the past 4 years in ground breaking and multi-award winning work including #BloodNormal and 2017/2018, Viva La Vulva in 2019 and ‘Wombstories in 2020 – all of which won numerous awards at Cannes and other industry events.

We have an exceptional relationship with the clients, who see us as a partner and extension to their own teams. Whilst TV is their channel of choice, there is an increasing focus on expanding Essity’s didn’t footprint, growing their investment in SEO, Social, Affiliates and PPC. Essity likes to create excitement and talkability about Bodyforms powerful new brand identity using social channels, to creating seamless media and web UX journey as part of Cushelles partnership with WWF.

Sipsmith are a craft gin brand with a distillery in London and a retailer footprint across the UK. The brand was created in 2009 and is still run by the same 3 people. In 2016 Edrington Beam Suntory acquired the brand, however they still remain highly independent and innovative, and they plan to keep it that way. They have bold ambitions to scale whilst keeping their distinctive personality strong and this is evident within the award winning comms they have produced.

 

Responsibilities

You will be supporting the Planning Director in the day to day running of the account, actively contribute to client service and further in the areas of strategy development, customer insight, maintenance of plans and administrative management across a handful of challenging and dynamic brands. You will be a skilled planner, able to translate target audience, the role of communications and detailed knowledge of media channels into robust and innovative media plans to help solve clients business problems.

You will have management responsibilities of at least 1 executive on your team, where you will help set a clear development plan, motivate and help them grow. You will embed yourself within the clients business, acting as an extension to their own team. Your role will also include working closely with specialist investment teams across AV, Display, Paid Social, PPC and Programmatic.

Qualifications

You will have had some experience as a Planning Manager, or ready to step up from a Senior Executive (or similar). You will have extensive knowledge of media planning across traditional and digital media with a record of selling in new ideas and solutions to your clients. You will have strong presentation skills and be comfortable presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders.
