Job Description

The Account Executive will be a core part of the global client teams for Edrington. This role is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide variety of disciplines that will allow the right candidate to learn and grow. This person will be expected to support the team to drive key client projects that will include cross channel strategy development, markets coordination, supporting digital operations projects, and help identify new innovation opportunities.

 

The role is an exciting opportunity to work on a client that is transforming its business. The Edrington Group, is a privately owned international spirits company based in Scotland. It produces single malts such as The Macallan, Brugal rum, The Glenrothes and The Famous Grouse blended Scotch whisky. This role is to primarily support on The Macallan, The Famous Grouse and Brugal rum across a number of exciting projects.

 

The right candidate will be able to work closely to (and receiving great exposure to) various teams and stakeholders giving her/him the opportunity to learn across agency functions and be part of multiple exiting digital projects. This will, ultimately, help defining their career path within the agency group. The responsibilities are detailed below:

 

1.       Planning & Strategy

a.       Support the Global Account Lead and Account Executive to produce and roll out digital brand strategies to both Global and local teams that are insightful, innovative, integrated and effective.

b.       Provide support on overseeing the successful implementation of the strategy and be a key player in ensuring campaigns are timely and reported on effectively.

 

2.       Client Servicing & Management

a.       Support role on managing key client stakeholders across key tasks and markets.

b.       Developing relationships with internal stakeholders to be seen as a key point of reference on the Edrington team.

 

3.       Market Coordination & Network Management

a.       Work with local market teams to share relevant information and ensure understanding & adoption of such strategies (as outlined in responsibilities above).

b.      Ensure monthly market call presentations are run smoothly and to collate and distribute feedback and plans.

c.       Ensure local markets are following the Global strategy and executing best in class plans at a local level.

 

4.       Innovation

a.       Support the Senior Digital Director and Global Account Lead in identifying innovations in data & technology as well as identifying new vendors on the market for central buy testing.

 

5.       Digital operations & ad-technology

a.       Data governance – Oversee markets adherence and ensure data consistency across all markets & platforms. This will include tracking of adherence to global naming conventions, evaluating and troubleshooting data quality issues across ad-tech platforms.

b.       Drive adoption of ad-verification partners to optimize media to key client objectives. 

 

6.       Develop and maintain relationships

a.       Build relationships and establish the smooth running of key stakeholder groups: central Zenith account & planning and activation teams, and central/local Zenith activation teams.

b.       Report minutes and points of discussions when participating in meetings with client and internal stakeholders.

c.       Organise diaries and meetings for the central team.

d.       Be the leader in taking weekly status notes and following up on key actions with the central Zenith team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be someone that has an interest in marketing with a thirst to expand their knowledge and expertise across multiple channels. They will have some knowledge/experience in marketing and be savvy with numbers with a strong proficiency in excel.

 

They will be interested in understanding how consumers think, feel and behave in relation to products and services; and in how technology can enable brands to engage with and influence this behaviour. The individual will enjoy working with data and have strong attention to detail. They will be a team player who is keen to learn and is results-driven. They will be ready to take responsibility for the effective implementation of activity within their accounts and be eager to share their knowledge with the wider team.

 

Experience Required

Preferred background in media/marketing with experience across:

·       Understanding and/or usage example of media channels (e.g. website, search, social, online video, etc.)

·       Proficiency in excel and statistic or basic modeling understanding

·       Familiarity in execution/optimization and reporting in one biddable channel (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, or paid search) utilizing tools like FB Business Manager, Google Ads, SA360, etc. is a plus

 

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

·       Project management and communication skills to be able to engage with multiple stakeholders to drive delivery of projects.

·       Highly organized with previous examples of delivering projects in a timely and effective manner.

·       Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standard of work.

·       Evidence of being solution driven and innovative with how they drive performance and delivery.

·       Comfortable in multi-cultural environment.

 

Desirable experience (but not required)

·       Previous working experience in media agency / marketing environment or relevant.  

·       Proficiency in other languages, a plus
