As the SVP, Director - Global Communication Planning, you are charged with bringing a new style of media strategy: omni-channel, gen Z-ready, digital centric, dynamic and personalized and leading our client and us towards this ambition while navigating a complex and matrixed environment. You will seek relevant opportunities to bring new thinking into the mix, challenge the clients and the agency teams to think differently, balance the ‘what we know’ with the ‘what we could find out’.  The sky is the limit with this opportunity. What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for leading development of global media strategy for mobile product launches/initiatives (4-6x per year)
  • Rooted in consumer, category, and performance insights, considering local market nuances and learnings
  • Working closely as an integrated agency team including media, creative, digital and CRM agencies
  • Focus on concrete and tangible strategies that can be easily and unambiguously applied by local markets
  • Responsible for evolving product from Media Strategy to a true end-to-end Experience Strategy
  • Work hand-in-hand with data & analytics teams to assess campaign performance across key markets
  • Synthesize learnings relative to global learning agenda and based on strategic variations by market
  • Focus on the actionable insights to be applied for in-campaign optimization and future planning
  • Support local markets to customize global strategy to their own market situation and nuances
  • Present and adapt global strategy based on local client feedback delivered via series of marketing workshops and regional delegations leading up to
  • Lead client to think beyond a product-by-product planning approach and to adopt a more consumer-led approach
  • Develop annual strategy spanning different product initiatives, defining audience strategy, key differentiators, and cross- product targeting approaches
  • Collaborate with strategy leads for client’s other divisions to ensure consistency of approach, leverage cross-category learnings, and amplify efforts
  • Lead contributor to shape new integrated Power of One team structure supporting client's global business – creative, media, CDM, retail, .com working together under one roof and a single point of leadership
  • 25% travel

Qualifications

  • B.S. or MBA, preferably in Marketing, or Advertising
  • 12+ years of management experience, ideally leading teams of 5 or more employees. Experience in at least two marketing disciplines, including but not limited to media, technology, strategy, analytics, creative and digital roles.
  • Able to strategically plan campaigns from audience determination, through how to best flight and execute campaigns to align with clients strategic goals and KPIs
  • Adept at injecting ideas, innovation and leading industry developments into planning assignments
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication (PPT, visual story telling necessary) allowing individual to explain how comms plans were developed, what they entail, and how they could be executed
  • Experienced in portfolio management, and key leadership roles in complex large scale, multi-national accounts
  • Strong leadership, guiding cross functional staff
  • Able to initiate projects, empower direct reports to lead, partner with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum
