Job Description

Our strategy team is a group of talented thinkers who act as the vanguard for great work within the agency. To succeed in this team you need to be curious about how people’s attitudes are shaped by communications, and passionate about understanding the impact of this change on a client’s business.

Qualifications

Core responsibilities

  • Strategists at Zenith produce communications strategies that translate the broad business objectives of advertisers into a small number of specific, relevant and ambitious communications goals. In line with these goals, they produce media strategies which detail the role for different media channels, and credible measures for each. 
  • A strategist not only sets the direction for communications on a piece of client business, they articulate it clearly and simply to every stakeholder associated with the business (across Zenith, Publicis Media, the client and key publishers). They are an advocate for consistency throughout the activation of their strategy, striving to ensure short-term commercial and client realities do not compromise the aims of the work.
  • Most importantly, strategists hold themselves and The Agency to account through rigorous measurement of communications effectiveness, at a campaign and account level. For a strategist at Zenith, being able to clearly articulate the value of communications a client is prized above simply being able to formulate strategy.
  • Strategists work on a stable of accounts. Strategists work closely with the respective account lead, and this pairing is ultimately responsible for the success of client campaigns (though not the overall client relationship – a responsibility shared with agency management).

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a media or brand strategy role 
  • Demonstrable track record of marketing effectiveness for clients
  • Articulate and confident when discussing recommendations with clients up to Marketing-Director level
  • Strong head for numbers
  • Keen student of advertising thought
  • Experience navigating larger organisations and building/managing relations with multiple 3rd party stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of marketing data management systems
