Graduate Media Investment Executive

  • Full-time

Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our friendly, fun investment team! This role is a great first step to begin your media career- learn more from one of our current investment graduates…

As an Investment Executive in the Digital, Print and Radio department, I have many day to day responsibilities. Although some teams will have a direct relationship with the client, we tend to liaise directly with the planning team who brief us on the client’s requirements and we then manage the relationship with the media owners. We must ensure we are spending with the right suppliers for the objectives of the brands and negotiate the best deal for the client. It requires great time management skills to split time between the parties to satisfy needs.

We regularly meet media owners to find out what new products or opportunities they have that would be of interest to our clients and also dive into the wider market to see what competitors are doing and get our clients involved in in terms of advertising.

Alongside communication and management skills, excel skills are also necessary for the role as we use excel, alongside many other different programs and systems, to create detailed plans and put together delivery reports for the campaigns on a daily basis. Therefore good analytical skills and a detailed mind are great to succeed in this position. An imaginative and creative mind is also useful as we often create supporting PowerPoint decks to support the proposals to the planners which include more creativity and explanation of the plans we create, plus follow up analysis and reviews.

Aside from building relationships within the workplace with the rest of our team, department and suppliers, it is also important to strengthen these relationships in more sociable environments so we often go out during the week to help increase the productivity within the office and take a break from more stressful times at work!’
