Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for a flexible leader with equal parts media horsepower and business acumen.  The ideal candidate will be as comfortable presenting to senior clients as they are diving deep into the details of a tactical media plan.  Digital and traditional understanding is required to thrive in this omnichannel planning environment.  They must understand how to motivate a core team, partner agencies, and clients to tackle common challenges. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic account and client leader who will need to straddle the worlds of business and media
  • Build a clear vision of how consumers are interacting with different mediums and how brands can better connect with them
  • Organize, concept, and develop relevant connections points that live in media environments
  • Forge relationship across internal specialist teams to bring clarity to cross-channel media plans
  • Analyze audience messaging and targeting approach to create business opportunities
  • Omnichannel thinking planned, deployed, and optimized in a real time environment
  • Interagency lead between Publicis family brands as well as partner agencies of client
  • Digital and traditional media thought leadership and team instruction
  • Analyze and plan for business market trends, as well as research and analyze marketplace and media data
  • Stay on top of industry standards, new media programs/opportunities and so that s/he can advise on new ways to reach targets
  • Responsible for designing and managing projects and resources for subsidiaries/business unit

·     Supervising, training and developing staff (managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management).

·     Providing staffing recommendation and daily supervision to all accounts.

·     Directs the long-range planning and development of programs to ensure best use of organizational resources

·     Participates in new business efforts including development of new business opportunities and new business pitches.

Number of Direct Reports: up to 10

Number of Indirect Reports / Lateral Influence: Many

 

Communicates With:

Internal:  Partners with other Strategy members, strategic resources, activation partners, finance and human resources

External:  Significant client, partner agency, and vendor interaction and accountability

 

Budgetary Responsibilities:

Strategic leadership and accountability for budgeting, controlling costs, planning and scheduling around cost concerns for business unit

    ·     Digital and traditional media fluency

    ·     Proven experience and success in presenting plans to client and influencing top level client decisions related to media strategy and implementation

    ·     Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills

    ·     Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills

    ·     Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills

    ·     Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations

    ·     Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

     

    Education/Experience:

    ·     Bachelor’s Degree

    ·     Demonstrated media planning experience & leadership

    ·     Progressively responsible experience in people management and leadership

    ·     Proven record of building teams or technology

    ·     Prior management of performance or acquisition based models
