Job Title: Battery Engineer Intern

Team: Automation and Process Integration 

Length of Program: 3 months (summer)

Compensation: Paid

Job Description

  • Exploration of alternate battery materials – Will involve extensive literature survey 
  • Assistance with CHA thermal evaporation of alternate battery materials – will require hands on operation of the tool, design and execute experiments tailored to exploring alternate battery materials and analysis of experimental results 
  • Coordinate work and testing with technicians
  • Data collection and analysis of test results
  • Operation of thin-film thermal evaporator
  • Literature survey and research of battery materials suitable for Proteus
  • Cross-functional interaction with the wafer and facilities team
  • Use statistical software packages for data analysis

Qualifications

  • Experience with galvanic materials and their properties 
  • Experience with thin film evaporation or sputtering a plus 
  • Proficiency in JMP (or equivalent) to analyze data 
  • Ability to use COMSOL for modeling strongly desired 
  • Understanding and execution of design of experiments to test hypotheses 
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with small, cross-functional teams 
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
