In this role, you will oversee adoption of the Proteus product at large healthcare systems. This person is a critical member of the Proteus Customer Partnering team, and should bring top-notch customer facing skills and a passion for customer success and shared value, all while working cross-functionally with several internal teams. Proteus is looking for a strategic, action-oriented, and results-driven Strategic Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic and operational oversight of our key hospital and healthcare delivery system customers, including implementation, adoption/pull through, value, account engagement and growth. The end result is increased customer satisfaction and retention, and expansion of the Proteus footprint.

This position will require you to be a master of Proteus Discover value, capabilities and competitive advantages and to convey that knowledge and return on investment to Proteus customers. The ideal candidate will be just as passionate about Proteus products and services as they are about providing exceptional care for each and every customer and their patients.

The Sr. Strategic Account Manager will interact with diverse constituents at customer sites, including health system executives, operational and innovation leaders, physicians and clinical care teams, pharmacists, supply and materials management teams. You will also work cross-functionally with several internal teams, including Sales, Clinical Specialists, Product Management, Engineering and User Experience to address member needs.

Job Description

Drive Customer Adoption – Responsible for successful customer onboarding and long-term product utilization

  • Strategically build and execute against key milestones for implementation
  • Deliver training to customers on individual or group basis to facilitate patient on-boarding and pull through
  • Drive seamless onboarding processes and work cross-functionally with our support and services team to proactively manage each customer’s successful deployment
  • Demonstrate facilitation and presentation skills for both local and remote presentations and training
  • Understand and assess customer requirements, level of adoption of the service and corporate structure as it applies to Proteus roll out and adoption
  • Develop and disseminate Proteus best practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Proteus customers
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated knowledge of Proteus Digital Health, Inc.

Drive Customer Retention – Responsible for building client relationships to achieve customer expansion and retention

  • Build relationships with Proteus clients to expand Proteus utilization
  • Facilitate relationships across various customer teams or departments to further strengthen Proteus’s partnership
  • Maintain positive ongoing relationships and demonstrate ability to work effectively with senior management
  • Define adoption and expansion strategies for your customer portfolio
  • Proactively prioritize and manage customer accounts by identifying critical success factors for implementation, pull through, renewal and product development
  • Demonstrate general business knowledge and judgment
  • Ability to influence others to achieve results
  • Knowledge of solutions, project management, sales, order administration
  • Stay current on developments in the health care delivery system including understanding the needs of different health system decision makers as it relates to population health management, consumer driven care and efficient care delivery

Drive Customer Success – Responsible for resolving customer problems and delivering customer value

  • Educate different stakeholders across the health care delivery system on the value they can generate from the Proteus Discover
  • Continually assess, document, and analyze customer progress toward stated goals and results
  • Ensure any account issues are resolved quickly, leveraging resources from across the company as needed
  • Gather customer product feedback and communicate with product management to shape product roadmap development
  • Provide input to the product roadmap based on feedback from customers
  • Acting as a liaison between customer and product manager
  • Ensure that needs and/or requirements considered critical to the success of customers are communicated and managed throughout the Proteus organization.
  • Present to customers value of partnership, including return on investment and product roadmaps with emphasis on features most relevant to the given customer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience; priority consideration given to those candidates who have experience working in the health care industry
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a high level of commitment and passion for providing exceptional service
  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, including scope, execution, review and refreshing, as well measurement of success
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage business relationships with customers, partners or vendors
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment and ownership
  • Strong creative thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills along with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Office skills to develop effective reports, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking to analyze problems which may require multiple factors and approaches
  • Experience working with CRM systems is a plus
  • 60% travel expectation
