This role focusses on Human Capital | Project Management | Engineering | Environmental | Compliance | Risk Management | IT Effectiveness | Business Process | Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) | SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program under DOE prime contract 89303322DEM000068 Generally Located In Aiken, South Carolina and across the Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region (Of Country/World) Working On-Site (Client Site).

Provide Environmental Management (Env) Services and Solutions as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member working in a capacity that Supports environmental management activities through planning, analysis, coordination, documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder support..  Keep work compliant and environmentally responsible through expert oversight, permitting, assessment, reporting, and corrective action.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Senior Environmental Specialist A | Environmental Management (Env) [L00310]

Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take necessary steps to stop work if continuing the activity is unsafe or will create and unsafe condition.

•  Researches and provides guidance on pertinent information and developments in areas such as applicable laws and regulations established by the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
•  Serves as interface for Liquid Waste Operations with the regulatory agencies.
•  Prepares and ensures compliance with environmental and radioactive material permits, licenses, applications, and records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements established by federal and state regulatory agencies.
•  Prepares complex environmental compliance reports and guidance documents.
•  Prepares written oral, tabular, calculations, and graphic reports summarizing requirements and regulations, including enforcement documentation.
•  Performs extensive self-assessments for continuous improvement of the environmental programs.
•  Prepares, organizes, and maintains reports and inspection records for complex Project s.
•  Verifies that radioactive materials and hazardous chemicals and wastes are handled, stored, and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
•  Support investigations to determine the nature of suspected violations and to obtain evidence of violations.
•  Observes proper safety precautions, rules, regulations, and practices so that unsafe conditions can be recognized, and proper safety protocols implemented.
•  Monitors follow-up actions in complex cases where violations were found, and review compliance monitoring reports and manage responses to non-compliances.
•  Inspect waste pretreatment, treatment, and disposal facilities and systems for conformance to federal, state, or local regulations.
•  Provides guidance in determining sampling locations and methods, and support collection of and environmental effluents air, water or wastewater samples for analysis, as required.
•  Observes and records facility operations and field conditions, gathering, interpreting, and reporting data such as flow meter readings and chemical levels.
•  Determines which sites and violation reports to investigate, and coordinate compliance and enforcement activities with other government agencies.
• Participates in the development of spill prevention programs and hazardous waste rules, regulations, and recommend corrective actions for hazardous waste problems.
•  Performs and prepares waste characterization documents and calculations in support of facility requirements.
•  Analyzes and implements state, federal or local requirements as necessary to maintain approved pretreatment, pollution prevention, storm water runoff and radioactive material programs.
