OT on a Exempt Contract Contingent Basis located North Carolina 28307 Across The Mid Atlantic Region supporting a key U.S. Army installation that supports the Army’s mission of global readiness and operational excellence. As one of the largest and most dynamic military bases, Fort Liberty serves as a home to the XVIII Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, and several other vital military units. The base plays a critical role in preparing soldiers for rapid deployment and combat operations, ensuring that U.S. Army personnel are equipped, trained, and ready to support national defense objectives and global security commitments.

Seeking Language Learning Specialist candidates with relevant Education, And Academia Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Education, And Academia Sector Clients such as ARMY.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Language and Culture Services Support  (Language Learning Specialist) in the Education, And Academia Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Department of Army (Army) | Mission & Installation Contacting Command -Fort Liberty Generally Located In Fort Liberty - North Carolina 28313 and across the Mid Atlantic Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Language Learning Specialist | Language and Cultural Education [ARMY032037]

  • Deliver targeted language instruction to U.S. service members, enhancing language proficiency in alignment with Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) goals.
  •  Design and develop lesson plans and Programs of Instruction (POIs) tailored to military language needs.
  •  Integrate culturally relevant and mission specific content into language instruction.
  •  Create immersive learning environments using multimedia tools, including online systems and digital media.
  •  Monitor and assess language learning progress and provide feedback to service members and program managers.
  •  Implement Second Language Acquisition (SLA) methodologies to address different learning styles and proficiency levels (ILR 0+ to 4+).
  •  Maintain accurate training records and reports for training hours, content, and service member progress.
  •  Participate in ongoing professional development, ensuring alignment with DoD guidelines and instructional standards.
  •  Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure cohesive training delivery and quality assurance compliance.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Language Learning Specialist | Language and Cultural Education [ARMY032037] (ARMY032037) Candidates

  • Proficiency in target languages as per ILR standards (from Level 0+ to Level 4+).
  •  Knowledge of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and Adult & Continuing Education (ACE) methodologies.
  •  Experience in military language training programs, preferably in a DoD or government environment

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Foreign Language, Education, or related field.
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching language at various levels of proficiency, preferably in a military or government setting.
  •  Experience in developing lesson plans and POIs for language acquisition programs.
  • ' Army Training Certification Tracking System certification.
  •  OPSEC Training and Cyber Awareness Training (formerly IA/IT).
  •  Privacy Training certification.
  •  Valid security clearance may be required depending on assignment location

Skills Required

  • Advanced language proficiency in at least one foreign language, including speaking, listening, and reading skills at ILR 3 or higher.
  •  Strong instructional skills, including lesson planning and curriculum development.
  •  Familiarity with technologyenhanced learning tools (e.g., learning management systems, interactive whiteboards, multimedia).
  •  Ability to assess learner progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  •  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and the target language.
  •  Interpersonal skills to effectively work with military personnel of various ranks and backgrounds.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)

Ancillary Details Of The Roles

  • Must be comfortable teaching in an immersive and technologically supported environment.
  • Travel may be required for onsite instruction at military bases

  • The ability to work within a variety of teaching environments, including in-person, online, and hybrid settings.
