Job Description

Build algorithmic and statistical approaches to finding predictive patterns, clusters of behavior and inflection points in customer data using R packages, Python packages, SQL and JSON.  Conceptual modeling:  Devise relevant conceptual models to fit a variety of data types  Statistical analysis:  Understand and working around possible limitations in statistical and data mining models.  Statistical analysis of complex, unstructured data sets to build clearly defined business metrics.  Predictive modeling:  Use predictive modeling techniques to create projections for certain types of data.  Predictive analytics using machine learning and simulation techniques to forecast operational capacity needs and growth of the customer base.  Hypothesis testing – Develop hypotheses and test them with careful experiments.  Hypothesis testing and experimental design, such as A/B testing of different product features.  Data access, transformation and data management.  Data discovery:  make use of processes of searching for patterns or specific items in a data set.  Find data related problems and solve them through developing/designing solutions.  Requirements:  PhD degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering-related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related Data Scientist positions.  Must have two (2) years of experience in the following skills:  R packages:  MASS, FORECAST, ZOO, RANDOMFOREST, GGPLOT2, DPLYR, RJSONIO, RJSON, CURL, HTTR, and NLP; Python packages - SCIKIT-LEARN, NUMPY, MATPLOTLIB, PANDAS, SEABORN, NLTK, and TENSORFLOW; SQL and JSON.  In the alternate, Master Degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering-related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related Data Scientist positions.  Must have two (2) years of experience in the following skills:  R packages:  MASS, FORECAST, ZOO, RANDOMFOREST, GGPLOT2, DPLYR, RJSONIO, RJSON, CURL, HTTR, and NLP; Python packages - SCIKIT-LEARN, NUMPY, MATPLOTLIB, PANDAS, SEABORN, NLTK, and TENSORFLOW; SQL and JSON.  Resumes to:  Recruiting, Pendo.io, Inc., 418 S.
