Job Description

Passion for Life is seeking an individual to serve as Parent Coordinators for the organization. In this role, the primary responsibility is act as the liaison between the parents, Passion for Life and our students. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares written materials (e.g. invitations, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.

  • Establish consistent and timely messaging to parents

  • Send weekly and monthly communication to parents

  • Ensure parental forms are signed and processed

  • Maintains ongoing updates of student profiles and coaching progress and information

  • Assist with scheduling and facilitation of parent/coach meetings

  • Participate and help coordinate parent involvement in onsite and offsite activities and field trips

  • Help identify resources, as needed, to help parents in need

Qualifications

Education Requirement

  • Will accept candidates currently pursuing a degree in the previously stated fields of study, but must be classified as a Junior or Senior

Required Skills

  • Prior professional experience in above education fields required. Fundraising or non-profit experience preferred.

  • Detail-oriented with strong editing and proofreading skills

  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects

Must have a bachelors or pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: Nonprofit Management, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or human services related fields of study

Time Commitment: 10 - 20 hours a month
